If you get less than 7.5-8 hours a sleep at night, you're more likely to be overweight, to binge eat, and to have a hard time losing weight.

Badly. The more sleep deprived you are, the more you want to eat. Losing sleep is unhealthy in other ways too. Try a different approach for weight loss, preferably a healthy one. Start by getting 60 to 75 % of your diet from whole raw fruits and vegetables, stress on the vegetables.

Staying up late could help your cause to lose weight, since the body uses up fat from your body to compensate for the energy that it needs. Though it "could" be an effective ritual, it isn't the best solution since sleeping late has its own negative effects. You could try vegetable diets, lessening your intake of meat and carbohydrates. You could also try eating frequent "small" meals, rather than less frequent "large" meals.
