technically they could be called your stepnephews or your nephew in law(s) since they aren't blood relations.

My brother has been married twice and both women have had children. I considered them as much my nieces and nephews as my sister's children. A fact that my sister's youngest found hard a few years ago. My brother married his current wife and her daughter immediately became my youngest niece. A position the aforementioned sister's youngest had previously held. She didn't like the idea that she wasn't my youngest niece any more when I wasn't blood related to the interloper. I patiently explained that her cousins (who she fully accepted as proper cousins as they were around before she was) from the first marriage had the same relationship to me as her new cousin.
My view is that my brother's family is my family and no distinction should be made, especially where children are concerned.
I did have a nephew-in-law. He was the man one of my (former) nieces married. Unfortunately, it was not a good break up and my brother wants to forget they even existed. Although I would love to have had them remain as nieces and nephews, I can't.

I say nephew. If you wanted to get technical I suppose nephew-in-law would be correct. If I were a kid embracing a new situation I would not want to be referred to as any type on in-law though.

If you want to be technical they are your step-nephews, but I'd treat them as full-blown nephews... xx
