Luke warm water is generally just above room temperature. Babies are generally given bathes in luke warm water until they are about 4 to 6 months. This way the parent isn't burning them. It is also useful for gargling salt water with, it helps dissolve the salt and feels good on the throat. It also helps blood flow for aching joints.

Luke worm water? I guess that's water Luke washes his worms in. Luke warm water is room temperature, or a little higher. It's not cold and it's considered luke warm as long as you can keep your hand in it longer then a minute without discomfort and scalding.

Luke warm water is just plain water, heated to a level wherein it's not too hot or too cool. It's in between warm and hot.

luke warm water
is not room temperature - and it is not HOT = because if it was - you would BURN your mouth
you want to use warm water to mix salt in in - so you can gargle and wash your mouth out - the salt tends to heal mouth sores and cleanse them
