Without Him there is nothing.

What an interesting Deistic question. So instead of being the clock maker as the Deistic folks back in the 1700's thought, god is the computer programer, who watches His program run. Personally, I think God continues to interact with creation. My personal experience back up my belief as does the scripture passage where Jesus says, in reference to whether he should curing people on the Sabbath, "My Father is at work until now, so I am at work" (John 5:17). And just in case you think that my experience was based on my knowledge of scripture, I didn't start to know the Bible until after my experience taught that God interacts with creation.

We have our truth and logic based on faith. Math starts out with faith in postulates. Faith in the scientific method is needed for science. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:6
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
My point here it that God is playing a kind of "hide and seek". One person just scratching the surface may conclude "I can't find Him"
While another who tries sincerely will find Him.
The way that God has set things in motion may give the appearance to some that He is not there. God has done this intentionally to support the concept in Hebrews 11:6.
God has left hints though in creation. For me the big bang makes no progress at all in explaining the "eternal existence of matter"
Abiogenisis is a hypothesis that life evolved from dead chemicals. In reality it is poorly constructed by the standards of the scientific method.
Personally I would say that God is hiding behind how He wove creation but actively looking for customers of Hebrews 11:6

God is All-Powerful and aware of all things. He is controlling the universe according to His own inscrutable Plan.

God, by His own word, will not intervene unless you ask. He will NOT break his own word. Yes, He is doing something...He's watching....and looking right at you.
