Corruption!!!! Fellow Indians this has spread into our society because of us only. Have you ever thought to go to the court and pay fine just because you have been caught breaking traffic rules. No, we just want to bribe the officer and SAVE OUR PRECIOUS TIME. Stand up and keep puting ourself above our country. Corruption can only stopped if we be responsible for our acts and face the consequences. We want to bribe the priest to to gain entry into the temple without getting into the line. We bribe the officer, so that we don't have to give the test drive to obtain a driving license. Corruption in this small form is hard to contain and only we can stop this by saying no to it. Once we start putting our country before ourselves, our country will be the only country in the world to be corruption free.

CORRUPTION IS LIKE A MONSTER, ENTANGLING INDIA IN ITS TENTACLES. This is the gravest danger, the biggest challenge , and the root cause(arguably) of all the problems india is facing today. It has trickle down effects, its presence being observed in almost all spheres of our economy.
Only a powerful government headed by a far sighted and a much loved leader can usher india into a new era of improvement. Corruption elimination bodies have proved to be ineffective often in the past. so this task has to be taken up by a single person who can organise and make a great force of all the people opposing corruption and put an end to this menace immediately. History has to repeat itself just as gandhi ji once fought a war for our independence , some person will have to take charge and bring about the death of this monster.

Corruption is everywhere; It’s a worldwide phenomenon;
May be the degree of penetration varies.
Coming to India, we are a developing country. Illiteracy,
Poverty and inequality are staring at us. Women empowerment is still a dream. Legal system is concerned more of form than of speed. Development is taking place in patches not wholesome. Unless these are addressed first, corruption control would be only a slogan
While we tackle these issues, we have to implement E-governance in all places. Strong will on the part of politicians and citizens, whole some participation in democratic process by all right minded people will only remove corruption from this country.

Without proportional representation democracy is a farce - In modern democracy multi-party system is there to exist.
But voting in democracies where there is no arrangements for proportional representation of the contenting political parties, the exercise is reduced to a farce! Lets see why.
It is also a universal phenomenon that in most mature democracies around 60% polling of legitimate votes take place.
Now, suppose A, B and C are the contending parties in a constituency. B gets 28% and C 32% then A gets 40% of the votes polled and is declared the winner. But actually A gets 40% of 60% votes or 24% votes only to be the winner! Thus, even if 100-24 = 76% are against or not supporting a candidate he/she can be a winner in our democracy. This thing must change. If the contenders are more even the winner may get lesser votes.
Therefore, there is an urgent need to bring in proportional representation system in Indian democracy.

Hello Sir,
i put before my views for this question. hope at least one of our thought would provide a solution to all the problems in India, And Hope India will become a super power by 2020, without illiteracy, famine, hunger, and poverty

Starting
1. no loop holes should be there in the law systems... we see many people doing lot of crimes and escape right before our eyes. this should be prevented. i heard that our constitution is based on British laws and its a modified version of that. Cant we make our own principles ??
2. Rather than old people in all the government sector, if young people are employed, i think the corruption might decrease.
3. there should not be any advantage given to political parties over any criminal cases. once found they are involved in crime, they should be eliminated from the constituent.
4.people must be aware of all the laws and regulations as hoe they can proceed a particular issue.
5. education is a must . i see Govt people getting 5Rs, 10 Rs from the villagers to write letters or any petitions.
6.I hope army people are not like this, cant we involve army persons to handle this?

I have suggested in my other answers that each local district should have a website where funds, goals and time bound implementation plans are clearly written so that everybody can see what the local representative is upto. People can also conrtribute ideas for their area as they do here. This will improve transparency which is one way. This should not be done with any malice but in a win-win manner.

One should stop expecting public servants to be like Mahatmas. Even in the movie Gandhi, Jinnah tells Gandhi "Aam aadmi aap ki tarah mahatma nahin hota". "Satyameva Jayate" has flopped like socialism because we don't want to be practical- Holier than thou slogans like "service before self" are not easy to apply on a massive scale in real life though some people maybe like that,

Public servants are as human as anybody else and would naturally want money and prestige( award and reward) like anyone else:-

The book "First, break all the rules" reveales a survey or an overall study involving 105680 employee responses spread over 2528 business units- an average of 42 business employees per business unit and 90 business units per company.

Distinguishing between talent and non-talents, it gives examples of waiters, bar tenders, housekeepers, nurses, data entry operators etc as to how the best were different from the rest even in minor jobs and were compensated highly without necessarily being promoted. The best bartender was someone who remembered names of 3000 guests and their drinks and the champion data entry operator was four times faster than the rest. They gave prestige and money to these best perfomers without necessarily promoting them if they did not have talent for man management.

If all these people are rewarded, why not public servants- after all they run the country. Problem is how do you make performance transparent to judge like that.

The common man is even more vulnerable. Endless discussions on the issue will not lead us anywhere. Corruption can only be minimised in a practical manner rahter than giving tall speeches and mouthing hollow slogans like "Satyameva Jayate"

by taking few steps as follows

1. every one should stop giving bribe first.
2. government should take certain steps like to prevent corruptions in their particular departments.
3. people should not hesitate to file complaint if they experience any such incidents in their life.

these are usual steps that we can generally look into. On the other side since nothing is working in a huge country like ours we can switch to the following system

1. every individual should have a single mandatory identity card.
2. card should be uniquely identifiable.
3. every transaction involving money should be accessible only through this card.

In this way the correct flow of money can then be recorded. Since no one can then hide their transaction with out notifying their identity, there is little chance for hiding their transactions and money.

Pre-requisites.
1. cards must be highly secured and must be provided at the age of 18 along with voting power.
2. transactions like registrations, share holdings, certifications, bank account transactions, etc involving major amount should be made accessible only with the card.

For making India corruption free, only we middlemen common people can take action. We should cast vote in favour of right candidate who has the power to hang terrorists like Afzal otherwise we cant even think of such peaceeful country. I ask Indian President and politicians why afzal not hanged although he hanged several loyal police and guards ?

corruption cannot be eliminated altogather from human society. the only way is to combat corruption is to make anti-corruption an industry (catch a corrupted person and share the loot with the government). And all corrupted persons be labelled as "corrupted" and publish the data in media.
