I want to curl my hair but it is really thin. I'm scared that they might damage my hair.

They may possibly (I'm assuming you mean electric curlers)...

The best way to try and limit the amount of damage done (your cannot stop it but may be able to prevent it...) would be to wash your hair before hand with a good quality shampoo and then leave a good quality hair wrap/mask/intensive conditioner on it for 10 minutes or so. Allow your hair to dry naturally (so you are not subjecting it to the heat of a hairdryer) then spray with heat protecting spray and curl.

Try to refrain from using curlers/straightening irons and hairdryers lots as they can cause heat damage.

It depends on the type of curlers being used. You should use smooth, plastic curlers (like in salons) and let your hair air dry, for the least amount of damage.

try to avoid using heated rollers/urlers in your hair and use salon type plastic mesh or magnetic rollers in damp hair with setting lotion and then let your hair air dry by rolling your hair this way you will not cause damage to your hair and will acheive long lasting curls in your hair
alternatively get a shampoo and roller set at a salon and get the stylist to give you instructions on how to roller set your hair properly

hair is hair, it won't get any more or less damaged because it's really fine or coarse.
just don't let it sit and fry up your hair and you'll be fine.
you should have to count to more than 30... and that's a stretch.
