A recommended amount is three servings daily. Calcium is very important in a growing child of any age. Milk is a great source of calcium, but you don't have to give him more milk. have you given him any cheese, yogurt, pudding these are all diary products that are made with milk that provide an excellent source of calcium. If all he's getting is that one glass of milk and nothing else dairy than yes he needs more.

cows milk is the perfect food.... for baby cows
People don't actually need it.. Contact a nutritionist, dietician, or family doctor about what you feed your child and check this out with them...
You will find that calcium can be had from other sources and milk in itself is not recommended as a food to have too much of as it can build up phlegm in the chest of humans, it contains an awful lot of fat, and has other reasons not to be pumping too much if into our kids
If your child eats a wide range of foods including grains, meat, fruit and vegetables then you have no need to worry.
Please ignore those who say that your child needs three glasses of milk or half a litre... that is not true and many kids do not drink milk at all and grow just fine.

It is more important for a younger person such as that age to drink milk because his bones need to be strong and healthy while he is young for when he is older. And should drink 8 glasses of milk per day. If you drink mroe milk wheny ou are older, it won't help because you are already older and your bones will not grow anymore.

If he is lactose intolerant, it is important for him to not have milk.
Depends on your child. Milk will help growing bones, but so will dark green vegetables, red meat, white meat and fish, which also all contain calcium.

Considering he is growing fast he's going to need a lot of calcium for bone development. However your pediatrician will be able to advise you.

Give him 3 glasses, milk makes kids big and strong ! Look at asian/american kids now, they're "HUGE", thats because they had "MILK" to drink as infants, Most asian country's are NOT Dairy producing country's, so the population is smaller in stature, than Americans.
