what would happen if i went to the doctors slightly drunk?

what if i have to have a few drinks before going to get my second yearly pap smear? would he refuse to do it if he suspected anything?

last time, i had one of the worst panic attacks of my life (PTSD), and i don't think i can do it without something to relax me.

Can you switch doctors? If not, talk to yours BEFORE your pap smear appointment and tell him what an ordeal it is for you. Perhaps a nurse could come in and help you by talking or holding your hand? They are an ordeal for me too, so you have my sympathy...
