I see that you are emotionally involve with another person and have a fear of regret. Sometimes those feeling of regret let us not to show who we really are. You can not emphatically communicate with other. Which one of your skills that I see. That skills you know is the basic importance in every communication. Take away your fear of being regret by others you don't hold the ire reaction anyway.

It will take time,so don't give up.You could practice talking to the person-by talking at a mirror.That way you can work on facial expressions ect. too.But for now,maybe you can write to the person(if you know either address),or if it is easier to talk on the phone,try to call them.Good Luck.Hope this helps.

To get rid of shyness, you have to practice talking ---- the more you talk and communicate with others, socialize, etc... the more confidence you'll build. Confidence kills the shyness.
