In fresh violence, that war supporters won't admit, a series of bomb attacks and drive-by shootings killed 135 people in Baghdad on Sunday, police and residents said.

Around 1,000 people have been killed across Iraq in the past week in suicide bombings, shootings and fighting between security forces and militants, according to figures compiled by Reuters from official sources. The USA military is not able to stop the fighting. However, President Bush stated Iraq is a much better place to live than it was four years ago. The Iraq people love the Americans and the USA troops love to serve in Iraq says the President.

because Bush is lying to the American people. Iraq is now in a civil war and the US can do nothing about it now.

Bush thinks that everyone is happier when they are under his control. He doesn't seem to understand that the whole world doesn't worship the Americans. He thinks that they should be and that everyone wants them to be ruling the world. I think it has got to the point where more Americans are beginning to see the truth behind the war and they are starting to understand what is happening in Iraq. Bush can't afford to lose the respect of all those potential voters so he lies to them. I was in the States a few weeks ago and the news over there doesn't portray Iraq the way that other news channels such as the BBC do. American channels definitely have a tendency of implying that the Iraqis love the Americans whilst our European channels do not give that impression at all.

I admit there is violence... and I am a war supporter.

what is up with your asinine and baseless comments?

do you actually think before you ask questions or do you just copy and past off the Air America or move on web page?

And where exactly did you get that quote?

I think you will find the statement was in regards to the Kurds in the north of Iraq who honor Our troops as heroes and Martyrs to the cause of freedom. And I think if you actually asked the troops, the vast majority proudly to serve.

Read a few more papers than just the NY times. watch more than just CNN. you might actually get a better picture of the world.

Then maybe you can ask real questions and not just baseless ignorant drivel.

Everyday in Iraq there are countless deaths and widespread bloody violence. Bush's current troop escalation is no change in policy which Americans wanted as they removed the GOP leadership from Congress. This is still 'stay the course' implemented by Bush and prevents the US from stabilizing Iraq. Increase in troops will only instigate more violence in Iraq. Even Bush admits that 2007 in Iraq will be marked by widespread violence...if we continue to adopt Bush war policy, then Iraq will continue to be incredibly violent and deaths will continue to greatly mount for several years. When is enough, enough?

bush is the devil him self.

-- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez tore into his U.S. counterpart and his U.N. hosts Wednesday, likening President Bush to the devil and telling the General Assembly that its system is "worthless."

"The devil came here yesterday," Chavez said, referring to Bush, who addressed the world body during its annual meeting Tuesday. "And it smells of sulfur still today."

Chavez accused Bush of having spoken "as if he owned the world" and said a psychiatrist could be called to analyze the statement.
