Yes and no.

There are demoninations that don't celebrate the same holidays for that reason, and I've considered it. On the same note, Christmas trees come from an ancient whatsit where the tree was worshipped. No matter how good my tree looks, I don't actually worship it, so I don't think that's really a problem.

Whatever you do, it's the intent behind it that matters. Just like the reverse is true: non-Christians celebrate Christmas, but not to celebrate the birth of Jesus, using Pagan traditions to celebrate Christian events seems kind of ridiculous, but isn't exactly harmful-- unless it explicitly goes against the Bible's teachings.

i watched the history channel on the subject of christmas.

What we do today is NOT what was practiced even a hundred years ago.

and it was the Catholic church that began Mass of christs birthday on Dec 25.

So its not exactly true to say christians celebrate christmas as a holiday from a Pagan Tradition. clearly some people saw the need to do works of righteousness.

No, I don't think so. Several Christian holidays did get their "start" from pagan holidays. Many early Christians, due to culture, heritage, or just wanting to have fun, would attend some of those festivals. The early Church leaders just sought ways to keep the Christian congregations away from the pagan observances, or at least keeping them focused. It's no different than churches today having special services at, or around, sporting events, rock concerts, abortion clinics, and etc. Please note I AM NOT saying sporting events, rock concerts, and abortion clinics are bad OR good. I'm just trying to show the correlation between the actions of the early Church and the churches of today.

surely the Pagan trip is the winter Solstice it somewhat is nicely known on the longest day of the year. around December 21 or 22. ( word: the day alterations year to year.)It has no longer something to with the social gathering of the beginning of jesus yuletide is often on the comparable day it somewhat is the 23. additionally The Saturnalia ( december 17 - 23) honors Saturn and his spouse Ops. it somewhat is the trip that many christian traditions have been based. and prefer with the winter solstice the dates exchange. We then see that this social gathering usually falls on December 25. for this reason the social gathering isn't christian and is in fact Pagan so get your own trip and stop attempting to assert that we have got fun Christmas for jesus' b-day. reason we don't you stole our trip.

Yes they are, and it shows how the lambs follow blindly. Seeing as I'm pagan, and see Christians every day being hypocritical, this is not surprising.
