I'm moving so I could be closer to my gf (that was once 5 hours away) so now I can live with her. We've been in a long distance relationship for almost 2 years and we've recently gotten engaged.

So I find a perfect college (private school), I plan to go there in a couple of months. But the problem is, is that the school is about 50 minutes to an hour or more (not including traffic) away from her house. She suggests that I go to a college closer to her house but one that I am not very fond of...We argue about it everytime I mention about the school of my choice. What should I do? Invest money and time to the college that I actually want to go to and possibly rent out a room with a roomate. OR save a bit of money and live with my girlfriend and go to the second college of choice? OR just drive the hour+?

You should dump your girlfriend, date around, get throught college, get a job, establish a career, and then get married to the right girl. You're not even an adult yet, and you're already making stupid life decisions that you will dearly regret.

My friend had a chance to go to Stanford, and he went to San Jose State because his girlfriend from high school was going there. They broke up after a year. That's you, only your fu*ck up can't possibly be as big as passing up a chance to attend Stanford. Don't do it.

Consider these options with her and compromise. I say Drive the hour. First, 5 hours is a lot less than 100-120 mins for just school. You could also have dates half way between so you would both have to drive.

also, if she really loves you.. she would care about your future too. What is your major though? She has to support why you should pick the 2nd college besides just being closer.

Just weigh the pros and cons of each decision and itll work out!

You should go with what makes u more comfortable... Never sacrifice anything for anyone unless he or she will be willing to do the same... What would she have done if she was in ur situation? would she have given up what she want for ur sake??
Anyway, u have already been in a long distant relationship for 2 years...

Think of YOU. Whats gonna happen if you guys break up?? Do not sacrifice your future and life. Think of what is best for you. Think about it.
