Mere_Mort...:I don't really care about being a 'true pagan' what ever that's suppose to mean. You realise what your saying would be the same as telling a Christian not to pray. Magic is part of Paganism. The founders of Paganism and the seed of religion was Animism and Shamanism. They practiced Magic daily through rituals. How can you reject such a big part of Paganism?

The Stainles: Why don't you go door to door like Jehovah's witnesses to premote your 'religion and prophets'. LMAO... You make me laugh.

The best thing you can do is subscribe to an occult or pagan magazine that has listings in it for groups and either join a group or form your own group (or coven) and then you can get as in-depth as you want to get. Online contacts and forums have their limits, because 99% of the people using them are not as knowledgeable or as gifted as they claim to be, and they easily lead students into difficulties.
If you're still a beginner or student then you also need to find yourself a genuine competent teacher - this isn't easy - the only way really is to get yourself involved with real life groups and occult penfriends then eventually you'll hear a good teacher recomended.
You can also try asking the people who supply your Pagan or Magik gear - often these sellers have been involved with Occult for many years and are often pleased to help you gain contacts and info.
Finally the other most popular and best way of gaining info and contacts and possibly a teacher is to attend as many local Moots, camps, and festivals as possible - you can find where these are online and in Pagan magazines.

I too went looking for forums to indulge in a bit of intelligent discussion with fellow Pagans and came across alot of white supremecists using my path, Asatru, as a sheild for their biggotry. Be very careful when going on sites that you don't end up labelled as such a freak. It depends also on which path you follow, I have some friends who use Witchgrove. They seem OK, they do things for charity which is a good indicator.
Best of luck to you.

I've been looking for a while and have had no luck. The best response I have had so far was to a question on here when I asked advice on wiccan and pagan books. Good luck in your quest I'll be interested to see if there really is anywhere.

This is one of many sites that i have listed on my faves, but it also has Pagan links for you to have a look through too. Enjoy, but always remember that magik/Paganism/Wiccan etc is a neverending spiral of information, we can never know everything!.

Drop the magic and the occult. Understand nature, man, and reality; you will then be a true pagan.
Robin C which God, exactly, are you refering to?
Paradox, nicely said and well meant. Sometimes the legitimate Pagan is questioned if magic and such is included. The oldest and "truest" pagan predates such superstitions.
Paganism is the simple worship of nature and what is.

Try http://www.livejournal.com -- create a user account, then go search for magick/Pagan/occult blogs. Some of them are "member only", and these are truly private places to discuss these matters.
Best of luck to you!

Feel free to message me and ask. I know a friend who is trying to get a site like that up and happening, but is able to get many decent inquisitive people asking questions so its kind of died down. Why don't you try to start one yourself and advertise around a little?
