can somebody please tell me what fly away hair is? is fly away hair similar to split ends?

it's when you have alot of small strands of hair--sometimes even one single hair separate from the rest of your hair and --especially with any breeze--lift off-- i.e. fly away.

it has nothing to do with split ends, since those are at theend of hair.

Fly away strands of hair are more noticeable at the top and sides of the head--not the bottom, because *all* of your hair moves with a breeze or with your movement at the bottom of your hair. So it really doesn't apply to the ends of your hair.

fly away hair is unmanageable, usually very dry and lacking nutrition.

solutions to fly away hair......hot oil treatment found in the drug store followed by a rich shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis and,of coarse the 100 brush strokes a day to distribute natural scalp oil through the entire hair.

I believe it's just when you have to much static in your hair and it sticks out.

Thin , fine in texture is what it means.
