When i was taking lesson just over a year ago it only cost my partner a few extra pounds a month to get me insured on his ins as a driver. It really depeneds wht company with.I would recomend tht you do go on his insurance i found it really helped me learn quicker. In total i only ended up needing 15 2hr lessons which isnt alot and i passed my driving and theory test first time.It helps build up your confidence.

good luck and enjoy

I was added to my exes insurance on a provisional, it was a 1400 Focus and I was £8 per month extra,
I was over 25 however but it won't be too bad.
Cheaper than proper driving lessons though

There's only one way to find out...call his insurers and ask. A lot will depend on the age of the car and its engine size.

Shop around for a quote. It will be quite cheap because you are being supervised, it's when you pass your test and go it alone that the premiums will rise.

you are better off getting insured on your own vehicle and building up no claims. or if you can pursuade your parents to switch to direct line and its the named drivers who earn their own no claims discount
