Its called DOMS.

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness.

Let me explain...

When a person works out they are actually BREAKING down the muscle. In this process the muscle tears and breaks.

With proper nutrition and REST your body is then able to recover and grow muscle...you only grow when your at REST not in the gym.

As for the soreness, it is when the lactid acid builds up in that particular area due to energy expenditure.

A great to prevent soreness is to warm up throroughly and then be sure to cool down properly as well.

This will help to recirculate the blood that builds up in the area (arms) so that there is less chance for lactic acid build up.

Proper form will also help...you may have strained the muscles using to heavy a weight or incorrect techniques used when performing an exercise.

Seeing as your 15, ask your parents to talk with a sports nutritionist or fitness professional that will ensure your program and nutritional regime is up to par.

Glutamine is a supplement that helps in aiding the recovery process after a workout. Follow the directions clearly on the lable.

More is not better if your body is not used to it.

Oh...and don't forget to always stretch either during your workout or after your cooldown.

This will also help in the prevention of lactic acid buildup in the body parts trained.

The soreness in your muscles is the result of a buildup of lactic acid. When you're really pumping iron, you'll feel a burning sensation in them. Also, when you lift, you're making micro-tears in the muscle tissue. As the body repairs itself, it makes new muscle tissue, thus you get larger muscle as a result.

Sometimes some good stretching before your workout will cut down on the muscle pain. Also, you can take Creatine powder for your workout, it not only give you a little extra "push" energy for your workout, but it has the tendency to reduce your muscle pain afterwards. You can get Creatine powder in most nutrition centers like GNC, or online in places like Puritans Pride.

After a workout, take a good, hot, shower. And you should bring your pain levels down to a tolerable level. As you gain more strength, you should experience this less and less.

Hope this helps you.

It could be due to a potentially dangerous release of free radicals into your body caused by your rigorous workout.

Free radicals are, in essence, very unstable. They react quickly with other compounds in the body, and can do some serious damage to your cells and cell membranes. This can inhibit or completely stop the rebuilding process of the micro-tears which can prohibit muscular growth and potentially lead to injury. These free-radicals will continue to multiple until they are quashed by what is known as an anti-oxidant. The build up of these free radicals can also lower your immune system capacity that leads to a heightened possibility of sickness

That's very usual. It will go away after you get used to it. It will take a few weeks.
