Chances are he's hungry. If the breeder sent you home with some handrearing mix, then make it as per directions and feed him. If you don't have any try softening some Wheat Bix in warm water and feed to him via spoon at 40 degrees C. Contact the person you got the bird from, your vet, or local wildlife carer for further advice.

How old is he? Typically cockatiels/weiros should be weaned before they actually leave the nest because they'll want to explore the cage more and be in the box less. If he's less than eight weeks old, take him back because he still needs hand feeding food or a parent to feed him. If he's over eight weeks, he's probably still calling for his family. Try offering spray millet - it's one of the best known foods for weaning birds to solids. If that doesn't work, don't try anything yourself - return it to the breeder or take it to the vet to learn how to care for it.

Your bird is not weaned and is starving to death. You need to purchase handfeeding formula and start feeding this bird yourself NOW!

Please don't try to make your own formula. This leads to infection in most cases. Please feed this baby soon before it dies!
