well i asked her out and she said i'll think about it and then after a week her friends told me she said no. But after that whole thing she began to be really shy around me and we don't really talk anymore. she looks at me alot during class and turns away when i look. did she say no to hide that she liked me? she also threw a ball up piece of paper at my face then turned away really fast. i'm just not sure what to think anymore. what should i do?

if she was your friend, tell her you want to stay that way and keep talking to her.
maybe she's shy but her friends said no to protect her. You could try asking them why she said no, why she keeps looking at you and why she wont tell you herself.
Hmmm.. did the paper say anything? Maybe you need to ask again. Im not sure if you asked to go on a date or asked her to be your girlfriend. It really depends on how and what you ask..yeah

She obviously likes you but HELLO do you want to be with someone who hides the way they feel about you? You have to ask yourself why is she hiding the way she feels about me? Maybe she does like you and the only way she knows how to express herself is to push you away as one would do in grade school. I think you need to figure out it worth finding out if she does or doesnt? My opinion... move on theres tons of girls who would want to date you. I wouldnt waste my time. Hope this clears somethings up!

She is flattered. When she looks at you she is thinking "He LIKES me!"
She is shy because she is assuming that you are still thinking about her.
How would you feel if you could read someone's mind, and they KNEW you could read thier mind?
You would think, Geeze, he knows I can see his thoughts. I feel like I am invading his privacy, I should give him a little room.
She is giving you mixed signals because at the same time, she feels good that someone values her.
If she does interact with you, it reminders her that someone thinks highly of her and therefore improves her own self-worth.
She's a little conflicted, but I don't think she is TRYING to play with your mind.

100% she likes u but maybe shes shy or its her first time that a guy ask her out she can be confused or maybe she doesnt like to date guys but im sure she likes u.

I think she's being mean and making fun of you with her friends behind her back. Try not to look like a lovesick loser in her vicinity. They get off on that, mean girls.
