No, the Qur'an doesn't prohibit the slaughter of animals. You know how Jews have kosher food? Muslims have halal food. Islam does not promote terrorism. Jihad means holy war, but there is outer jihad, when one defends one's homeland and there is inner jihad, where one strives rid oneself of evil in one's heart. I don't know why mosques don't allow non-Muslims inside. People of other religions are fellow human beings, but Islam recognizes that Jews, Christians and Sabians are also "people of the book," that is these groups worship the one true God (of the Abrahamic traditions). The majority of Muslims are peace loving people who just want to live, have families, and they are not fanatics. It is too bad that ignorance allows people's minds to immediately categorize a group they know nothing about as "terrrorists." The Qur'an gave women rights when before they had none (during the Jahiliya, ignorance of divine guidance). Girl babies were left for dead because they were not valued. Islam actually gave women rights (in the case of divorce, the woman and any children from the marriage must be supported). The Qur'an says that there is one God and that He alone will judge all souls on Judgement Day. Muslims believe Jesus will come again at the end of time. Islam is misperceived and it's a shame because it is so similar to Christianity and Judaism. People are anti-Islam because they are afraid and they don't know anything about Islam. I hope this is helpful.

It's the government, they're feeding us political propaganda so we believe we are constantly under threat from terrorists. In reality of course, it's our government that are the terrorists, leading us to a totalitarian state.

Hmm..who's telling you these things? We didn't say a thing..
Why don't you ask a proper question instead of complaining about people who didn't say a thing.
