How come most muslims are not familiar with the satanic verses? Are you putting your head in the sand, to try and deny that muhammed proclaimed allah to be the moon-god, even referring to the names of the 3 daughters of allah? Because he actually said these words, he is identifying allah the moon-god as the allah of the muslims. It is indisputable.

Listen - most muslims deny the words were spoken, however it is documented. When muhammed spoke about the daughters of allah (muslims always say their allah didn't have daughters or sons) Muhammed identifies allah's daughters, referring to the moon-god. Obviously this implies that muhammed was worshipping allah THE MOON-GOD.

Names of daughters of allah, as identified by muhammed in the satanic versus - Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, and Manat

''In the evening Gabriel visited him; and the prophet recited the Sura unto him. And Gabriel said, ‘What is this that thou has done? Thou has repeated before the people words that I never gave unto thee’. So Mahomet grieved sore, …" GABRIEL IS SAYING THAT SATAN PUT THESE WORDS INTO THE MOUTH OF MUHAMMED

Okay. This question should be taken out and shot. What the heck are you even talking about? Why would or should most muslims be familiar with the satanic versus? Who cares? Most PEOPLE aren't familiar with them. It's just silliness.

How come so many muslims deny it, or even don't know about it?

Why the hell do they think Salman Rushdie was given a death sentence for calling his book The Satanic Verses?

Here's an explanation for head-in-the-sand muslims

http://www.answering-islam.de/Main/Shamoun/satanic_verses.htm

These are the words which appeared originally, but were removed from the Koran. Muhammed was given the words by satan, Gabriel overtly saying that he did not put these words into Muhammed's mouth:

Originallly in koran:
Near it is the Garden of Abode. Behold, the Lote-tree was shrouded (in mystery unspeakable!) (His) sight never swerved, nor did it go wrong! For truly did he see, of the Signs of his Lord, the Greatest! Have ye seen Lat. and 'Uzza, And another, the third (goddess), Manat?

THESE ARE THE EXALTED CRANES (INTERMEDIARIES) WHOSE INTERCESSION IS TO BE HOPED FOR.
(capital letters are the words of satan, deleted from the koran after Muhammed had repented and was forgiven)

What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female? Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair! (an-Najm 53:19-22)

The koran today does not have the words that I have put in capitals, they were taken out.

Like King David of the Bible admonishing himself of his own adultery in Psalms 51, Muhammad discusses the "Satanic verses'' himself in the koran:

"And their purpose was to tempt thee away from that which We had revealed unto thee, to substitute in our name something quite different; (in that case), behold! they would certainly have made thee (their) friend! And had We not given thee strength, thou wouldst nearly have inclined to them a little. In that case We should have made thee taste an equal portion (of punishment) in this life, and an equal portion in death: and moreover thou wouldst have found none to help thee against Us!" (Koran 17:73-75)
"Never sent We a messenger or a prophet before thee but when He recited (the message) Satan proposed (opposition) in respect of that which he recited thereof. But Allah abolisheth that which Satan proposeth. Then Allah establisheth His revelations. Allah is Knower, Wise; That He may make that which the devil proposeth a temptation for those in whose hearts is a disease, and those whose hearts are hardened - Lo! the evil-doers are in open schism" (Koran 22:52-53)

How muslims are not aware of this I really do not know.

"The Quran (22.52/I) implies that on at least one occasion ‘Satan had interposed’ something in the revelation Muhammad received, and this probably refers to the incident to be described. The story is that, while Muhammad was hoping for some accommodation with the great merchants, he received a revelation mentioning the goddesses al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat (53.19), 20 as now found), but continuing with other two (or three) verses sanctioning intercession to these deities. At some later date Muhammad received a further revelation abrogating the latter verses, but retaining the names of the goddesses, and saying it was unfair that God should have only daughters while human beings had sons."

Did the Qur’an at one point tell Muslims to worship al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat? Yes. In Surah 53:19-20.

Have those verses been “abrogated” out of the present Qur’an? Yes.

What were they called? “The Satanic Verses.”

Muhammad (peace be upon him) never proclaimed Allah a moon-god. he always testified Allah as THE ONE GOD. Allah itself means "One God" or "The God". And he totally never said Allah has daughters or sons or a wife. if he did that he would be thrown in hell. Where r u getting this stuff? The satanic verses?
ive never heard of them btw

I am confused, WHAT does 'moon-god' have anything to do with Satan?

Just because a desert demon who was thought to be the horned god was called Shitan by Christians got his name bastardized into 'Satan', does NOT mean that Satan exists..and I don't see a correlation between this TRUE origin of Satan and the Muslim doctrine mentioned in your Q.

Totally rubbish and nonsense, It has no truth in it, You are just dreaming with Satan.
Muslims has nothing to do with satanic Verses, at all.
Muhammad PBUH is the Prophet of Allah almighty, His every act was strongly guided by Allah even Gibrael can say nothing by himself, but what Allah has revealed to Muhammad PBUH.

Of course the mohommedans deny the existence of the Satanic Verses. Not to do so would make it clear that they didn't understand what they believed in the first place.
Like all religions, they interpret the so-called "holy" books to suit themselves. Truth, has nothing whatever to do with anything.

haha, yup islam was once polytheistic, that monkey muhammad included all these other gods to make ppl join his evil cult so that he could thrust-f*ck a little girl. Muslims are not only ignoring the satanic verses, they're ignoring that a prominant muslim ordered salman rushie to be killed.
