There are two parts to this. One is an awareness of the emotion (the feeling) and the other is the expression of the emotion (the behavior).
Most humans (except those who may have been damaged very severly as children) have the ability to be aware of the feeling of Love. They may not know what it is when first encountered, but they will know that something is very different in their lives.
No one had to tell you how to feel sad or happy or confused or angry or surprised or afraid. These are also emotions. What you had to learn is how to express these (in a socially suitable way). It is the expression of Love is often difficult.
If you have never experienced Love before then at first you might also be confused. Do you tell the other about this or not? The deeper the feeling the harder it might be to express. How to act, what to say, what if they do not feel the same?
If you are going to form a lasting relationship, then communication is the key. This must be open and honest. Eventually you will learn enough about the other person to be able to express your emotions appropriately. The confusion vaporizes and is replace by comfort.

First of all there are many various types of love...such as the love between parent and child. You have to figure out if it is love with admiration ,the idea of being in love or the mental state of emotions that one feels throughout the soul(pure love). Everyone has experienced love in some form ,the levels differ in different situations......example:deep love between a man and a woman is rather different than a child and their pet...but it is still love. There are new experiences we deal with everyday...that's just part of life... the ability to show , give and receive love is part of our spiritual growth. So never say never...it does and will happen to us all!!!

Love isnt something you learn it is something that comes naturally, you will know if your in love, and someone who never has loved a person might just love you and understand you more and not lead you astray, because they are more innocent and dont really need to hurt you because they feel it is the most wonderfulthing in the world because they have never experienced it, you dont have to have had it, you just gotta want it and then you'll have IT.

This question has no real ending answer, it's like saying which came first the chicken or the egg? In order to say you've been in love before you had to have been in love for the first time at some point. It's just a feeling that you get, when you're in love, you just know it.

ever walked out into a beautiful day, and breathed in the air and smiled? thats love.
we have all loved, and been loved. but perhaps not by the things you would expect.
lust can also become love when you start to understand the person beneath the desirable flesh.
the deeper you look, and the deeper they allow you to look, the more you will find that love. the same can be said about live in general, and nature. seek it deep, for love lives not in the shallows...

I think it's human nature. Everyone wants to be loved, but a person usually has to experience it first. If they never have, they could still learn to but it might take a lot more time.

Love can come to you naturally. At first you don't recognise it but then you realise it is there. It is that special feeling for someone, which is not sexual desire.
