can I have any oppurtunities in Astronomy? Please explain me in detail. I have a special interest on that subject.

yes u can,
study basics of physics and try summer programs in it.
try to give GRE and do MS, or GATE in phy to do mtech.
physics is the key to get in this area

Sure ! U have lot of chances in that field. All U have to do is constantly update your knowledge about the recent developments and compare it with the subject u study. Being an EEE student is an additional benefit for u to work as u know the Hardware parts well. But U haven't specified whether U 'd like to be an astronaut or work as a Scientist.

What is an EEE student? If you like Astronomy, then why don't you take classes on it?
