A neutralizing cream? I don't think that's it. It sounds like you were given a relaxer, I don't believe wella makes a thermal, it was probably a standard relaxer. Neutralizing creme is the second step in relaxing as it, surprise, neutralizes the relaxer which was placed on your hair. For the most part the only thing to do is to cut it off. Hair cannot be put back together once it has been altered. A relaxer breaks down the natural structure of your hair, kinda of leaving it in a floppy shapeless state. Some relaxers work slow enough (thermals/japenese) that you can apply pressure and heat to 'mold' it into a smooth straight shape.
Hair growth for the most part, depends on your genes, typically, though about a half inch a month.

if u want to u could wait a while and then get a perm to make it curly but that would be risking it the best thing to do is to let it grow out. the longer your hair the longer it will take so i hope i could help good luck with your hair.

Just wash it a lot. Really scrub it and let it dry naturally. It will go back after a few days.
