I have an archos video recorder and i was wondering how to record dvds onto it? anyone know how?

I know how to record television shows but it says that the dvds are restricted and i know people do it but im not sure how to yet?

Simplest way is not with the Archos, but with the computer and ripper software.

A ripper will remove the security features on the disk and convert the video/audio files to a manageable format for saving to the harddrive, which can then be burned to a disk as a backup copy.

This process is illegal for any commercial reasons, and even private collectors can be fined and/or imprisoned for ripping disks...FYI.
