That is a myth, Israeli army in the war zone depend heavily on American information and American technology. Most of the Israeli wars were conducted on none Israeli ground . Israel last war in Lebanon proved that Israel can not fight a war on its ground even with full support of American technology.

Now how could anyone tell? There are so many professional armies in the world that most people here know very little or even nothing about. What about Luxembourg, Bermuda, the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Spain or perhaps Greece? Or am I expected to believe that armchair generals and people who have been in only one service somehow "know" what the correct answer is? I'm in the Australian Army - compared with other military forces, we're fairly small. Our intention is to maintain a crack, professional army. I don't know what other militaries are like, but we didn't base our training on the assumption that it's inferior to that of the Americans, Chinese, Israeli or British.

What does the training of the individual soldier have to do with roaming groups of terrorist guerrillas shooting primitive rockets? How would the individual soldier stop that, there were numerous changing locations. When a terrorist group (hezbollah openly targets civilians with suicide bombs) takes someone, they are not "captured", they are abducted. Israeli civilians died from Hezbollah rockets as well, but I guess the lebanese civilians need to stop turning a blind eye to the evils of Hezbollah and if they take their blood money, they are just as guilty. Pick a fight with the big boy on the block and you get what you ask for.

Israel Murdered American sailors on the USS LIberty the government awarded these soldiers the medal of honor not at the White House but at a secret ceremony on a dock in New Jersey the certificates are the first in history not to name the enemy just for the info of you jerks supporting the Israeli occupation government.

The land mass of Israel is like the size of Massachusetts. How many people live within those borders and of that number how many of them are able to fight and perhaps die? It is a numbers game. You can not fight a war with women and children as Germany tried. Those Civilians supported the Rocket Launching Hezbollah and whether they wore the uniform or not they are and where the enemy. Those rockets were not fired at military targets. Get real stupid someplace else.

You are talking about a proxy war here regardless of the politics though it is still a war. In war people die and often times the civilians in or around the fighting will be killed. This might as well be a fact of war for it's happened in every war in human history to my knowledge. Missles are indiscriminate along with radar signatures and tracking devices. A terrorist fires a missle from the alleyway between his house and his neighbors and then runs out of the area to avoid being the victim of a counter strike but at the same time leaving his neighbors (the entire block for that matter) and family to their own fate for his actions. Humanity is ugly and war is no different you have to accept this for it is reality. Furthermore, besides conducting a house to house ( and mudhole to mudhole) search for weapons stores and enemies there is no way to gurantee Tel-Aviv or any other Israeli city or town is totally safe from rocket attacks. Even then an operation would be too costly in terms of manpower and capital but it could easily be countered by terrorists via picking up and moving X miles north of the advance.
Also I would like to add that, as another poster above pointed out, Lebanon itself is at fault for those civilian deaths. They created the situation that they now find themselves in. Voting in a fring terrorist group is NEVER a good idea for a nation.

Because the Hezbollah fighter go out his back door and shoots a rocket off, then goes back in the house and sits down with the family . Israel radar determines where the rocket came from and puts one back at them. Well the rocket kills the Hezbollah fighter but it kills his family too, Yea that what happens when you hide behind your women and kids, Bad old Israel for shooting back ......

israel does have the best trained soldiers in the world. However this doesent mean they are the best all around army in the world. There are other issues as well. Such as numbers, technology, ect.
Israel has the best army in the world by how they are trained, and if they had the sheer numbers and technolgy others had they would be unstoppable

The best training in the world doesn't mean they can read the minds of those who hate them. I think it does mean that they are good with weapons and good at being soldiers. Being well-trained does not mean you are invincible.
