It is a smart woman that asks that question. If there is hesitation or no answer then she knows that it is just words. If you have fallen in love with someone there has got to be a reason whether it be the way she looks at you, the way she makes you feel about yourself, her sense of humor ..... no matter, there is a reason.

Because it is hard for some one to accept something they feel they haven't earned. And you should have several reasons before you think you are in love. Even if you just say crazy crap, cause that's what it seams like to guys but is very important to a woman that there is a feeling/purpose involved.

They just want to know what made you love them in the first place!They also might be trying to find out why because they want to figure out how much you really love them!

because men could just be saying "l love you" cause they think thats what women want to hear....but actually we want to know specifics so we can tell if guys really mean it or not...(did i make any sense?)......well thats my opinion anyways....

i dont' know. i think it's because they want to know if you're in it for the long haul and that will give them more income security.
