People would cease to put all hope of a future on some supernatural being and event and would thus focus more on what mankind, individually and collectively, can do to ensure a future for this planet.

Man will start living as per his dreams. End up in things like AIDS, Nuclear Bombs etc.
Certainly this is one reason why the world is becoming a more unsafe place for human to live. AS long as the dreams are within certain limits, it will be ok.
Man needs to be controlled in every aspect of his life. Even when he is walking on a road side or using the wash room or in any where in his normal life including realising his dreams, man needs to be controlled. The best control is from his ownself. His own mind should control his behaviour. This can be done only in the Name of God & Religion. If you leave him on his own, he will end in things like AIDS HIV, Nuclear Bombs etc. He will perish on his own. Finally whether he is rich or poor, if he is white or black, whatever he is, he can live in Peace of Mind only by Total Submission of himself to the Will of Almighty God. This can be done by controlling himself. One man cant control another, This has to be done by Almighty God. That is achieved by the Holy Books & Messengers from God. These have showed us the ways to control ourselves & live in peace. Why do we have brakes in all the automobiles. To control the vehicle we need them.
Same applicable for dreams also. Problem arises when man's dream of having relation with more girls are realised. Problem arises when man's dream of accumulating more wealth by any means is being realised. Problem arises when greedy dreams are given importance. So if everyone start realising their dreams now, the world will become a chaotic place to live in. ultimately man will perish. God knows the Best.

That'll never happen. But you can keep fantasizing about it... just fill in the "blanks" as you like. Make the world what you want.
