My background, I have just broken up with my boyfriend/fiance of 2.5 years 3 weeks ago. I have been dating this guy for three weeks and he hasnt talked to me at all latly. I am in college and 1100+ miles away from my family and friends. I really wan to go home but I cannot. I have one friend where I go to school and I love her to death, but on weekends she leaves me to go be with her boyfriend. They are so happy together. Well my question is I have not been able to eat for a while now becuase I just don't get hungry, even when I do get hungry I eat like 2 bites and I am full. What could this be?

Get over him and get over guys. You are depressed, but why should you have time to have a boyfriend first of all and depressed second of all. If you are 1100 miles away from home at college you sound like you are at a real college or university. Make the most of that. Kick some butt in school first and worry about a boyfriend later. It is a blessing the first guy is gone and the second guy sounds like he isn't ready for a committed relationship because he is probably concerned about school first. You should be too. Do things that will cement your future. Stop worrying about an MRS degree and worry about being able to fend for yourself. Once you decide you are smart enough and worthy enough to concentrate on yourself first your eating will go back to normal. If you sit around day and night saying poor me without a boyfriend you will never eat normally and you will never make anything of yourself. It is OK not to have a boyfriend. AND it is OK to be smart. You should be first in your class and be proud of it. We don't need anymore Lindsay Lohan's in the world, but we do need more Doctors and Engineers. Get there. Make something real of yourself. I'm not saying never have a boyfriend again, but I am saying school should come first until you know you can graduate and get a killer cool job that will pay huge money. Can you say that now? Do some research on yourself and your whatever you have selected as a major. If you can rule your life by having a totally cool job and life you will get the coolest boyfriend/husband out there. Don't put the cart before the horse. You will survive if you change the way you are thinking about guys for a while. For now, go join a sports team or a club on campus. Get yourself out there so you have more than ONE friend. Talk to new people. You are not the only one scared to try something new to meet new people. You are worth a lot more than what you are making yourself out to be so do something about it to change for the better. College is supposed to be hard AND fun. Nothing easy is worth doing!!!!

Depression. Lack of hunger is a signal that something internal is reacting to the stress your under. Understandably from a recent break-up, you have a very limited close support system and have to balance college studies as well! Get active, join a study group, a sport or maybe even a part time job. Get up, get out get some free air and allow yourself to get motivated by the others around you. You could meet some amazing new friends and get your heart and stomach well at the same time!

It seems to me that your emotions are affecting your appetite. Perhaps you're lonely from the breakup or you feel the need for companionship. Being away from your family and friends is sure to make one feel stressed. Try eating your favorite kinds of food. Make it a treat. Don't fill your loneliness with food, but you should eat something! Maybe you can look for new friends to share meals with? Try cooking something and invite a new friend over to eat with you. I know it's hard to be lonely, but you should remember to take care of yourself too. Another suggestion: you could try working out. Exercise has been shown to regulate appetite. Invite a friend for a pre-breakfast walk, and then have breakfast together! Work up an appetite!

You are homesick and very stressed out. Try to meet some people who can be a support to you. You need people that are there for you more. If the gentleman you're seeing now isn't talking to you then maybe he's not the right person for you. Figure out what you need and then go about getting it. Take some time out. Do you have a school counselor that you can talk to? I suggest you try that and go from there.

One of the symptoms of depression is loss of appetite. Isolation can often lead to loneliness, and loneliness to depression. There's not shame in feeling depressed, but it's important you seek help from someone you can trust. Can you tell your parents and make an appointment with the college councellor? Starting a new life away from loved ones can be challenging, but remember you're not alone. I really hope you find the strength to talk to someone face to face. Good luck!

anyway, you're just lonely and depressed. you're not the first to feel this way, and in time, you'll have another guy. just hang in there and take a break from guys, geez. take some time for yourself.

something is incorrect if it infringes on a persons organic rights. all all people is entitled to issues mutually with existence, liberty, and prosperity.
