I had a DUI only but my MVR shows DUI and Accident? Now my insurance rate went skyrocket.

Any suggestion on how to remove the accident? Or what kind of proof do I need to give to my new insurance company that there was no accident.

The only thing that your insurance company will accept is the MVR. You must contact your DMV and explain the situation to them so they can direct you to department that can correct the record.

As far as your rates are concerned, do not expect a very large drop in your rates once you have corrected the records. A DUI is a very heavy no no as far as the insurance company and every one else is concerned.

The accident is not why your insurance went so high it is the DUI and that takes 5 years of SR- 22 insurance and that is real high risk is why it costs so much.

Your license is what needs to be removed. The last thing we need in this country is another drunk driver causing accidents, let alone being let back on the road thereafter. What you should do is stay off the road until you are able to accept responsibility for your own actions.
