In the history of mankind, a man with hair on his back and shoulders was never a turn off or even an issue. In todays times I hear women comment that back hair is their #1 turn off. Why is it like that today? Ive seen some 70s movies where the "hero" has a chest and back full of hair. Even chest hair is considered gross. God put it there, why is it so bad?

Here's my thoughts of this. When I was a girl (as in young adult) and first started dating, I was only attracted to boys. Boys do not have much hair usually. At this time I thought hairy men were disgusting! The more I grew up and matured, the more I wanted a man. Men have hair. Hair is a sign of their virility and masculinity. I LOVE hairy men! I am so glad that my husband is hairy! There is nothing better than cuddling with him and running my hands through his chest hair! I really CANNOT stand men who look like boys or the metrosexual look. For example (it's the only one I can think of right now): I LOVE Viggo Mortensen from LOTR. He is very hairy and mainly and yummy! Then you have Orlando Bloom who is an elf, which in it's own way is good, but in my opinion was way to effeminate. I don't like men who are too girly. I want a REAL MAN! Hair and all!

Chest and leg hair is very sexy. I don't really go for the back hair but then I have never gone out with some who has it.
I am sure that a man who is hairy stays warmer in the winter. What I don't understand is why men don't like women with hair legs.

Maybe all of the women in the U.S. who have been forced, for years, to shave everything but their heads to keep men from cringing decided to take revenge.
It is a fad. Cringing at a person who has hair comes from being shallow. There is nothing wrong with it.

we are already being accused of being A MONKEY'S UNCLE" i think the thought for them to wake up in the night and feel this hairy thing next to them, wuold i guess give them nughtmares, but i don;t know that one, my wife loves that big grizzly bear she married!!

ur right:women or even girls are totally turned off by hair..the reason is that i think they sub-consciously relate it with dirtiness.....:P okay thats crazy but im telling u wat i think when i see a guy on tv with full back of hair.....the worst thing is guys whose chest hair has grown towards their neck! eww

i don't associate it with dirt, it just makes me shudder when i think of running my fingers through back hair. uuugh. it's just me. i'm sure if i grew up with hairy family members, it might be different. thank God my hubby isn't hairy.

more of a voice then they ever use too! Before we were never
able to speak freely about these things. So guys
listen up now and nair/wax those backs, clip those nose
hairs and plz don't forget the ears!
