No, I ask Him to help others who are less fortunate than me. It's selfish to ask Him to help me...seriously, though, sometimes things get really bad and I do ask for guidance. And sometimes I get answers...I trust that if I live each day to the best of my ability, tomorrow will work out just fine.

YES I ask God for help....by simply opening my mouth and heart. HE answers every question and every problem in HIS own way. HE is never late but an on time God. HE loves his children and wants very much to talk to you every minute of the day. Start by just saying. God I Love You.

I sometimes write my prayers in a journal, like letters to God. Once, I was so angry and wrote so hard I ripped the pages and then threw the journal at the wall. God really answered that time. I followed his advice, got the job I needed, and I'm still benefiting.

Tho, I wouldn't shake my fist at God like that again.

You think about God and just ask.
He may not answer in your time or the way you want but the answer DOES come, if you are willing to look for it.

I pray with a sincere heart, and wait for God.
The answer may be yes, it may be no, it may be not yet.
What I do know is that when the prayer is given to God, it is in his hands and I rest and wait on him - because my prayer is for his will and that is always in perfect wisdom and love.
God has moved in my life in answer to prayer in small things and big things.
When my wife ( a non-believer) left i was angry and distraight. But God brought to me an amazing person to spend my life with and share God with. I also had the opportunity to pray the Father of my ex-wife's new husband to accept Christ two months before he died. That alone made all of my pain worth it. You see if you wait God will do things greater than you can imagine.
I have also prayed for people to be healed, and God has healed.
It is an amazing and free life to live in faith in God, and not deny who he is or how he loves us. There is freedom in life in him.

I believe We are created in the likeness of God as is Jesus Christ. For me this means that We are blessed with Godly spiritual and intellectual intelligence. It is apparent we only use a fraction of this capability. However it is my understanding that we draw on God’s likeness in our creative being every time we call on God’s will through the Holy Spirit in the name of God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ when we pray. This is how I do it.

I ask god for help everyday, however there are ground rules for the success of prayers:
1- dont ask god to help you sin
2- Be specific
3- Know that God will answer
4- Admit that nothing happens whether good or bad without god's consent
5- mention in your prayer something good that you have done before

I have asked God for help. He wanted me to be more like Jesus before He gave me such responsibility. Sometimes though, He gives you want you want, but only if it's what you need to be closer to Him. That's my opinion. Those who seek Him shall be found by HIm.

okay here is the mystery solved.

Imagine you have a loving father. maybe you did. Imagine he would do anything for you, as long as he thought you would be helped by it. maybe you did.

okay, that said, if you believe in your god that he created you, then he would be your father. and if you god is all powerful then he has it his power to help you in anyway that he sees fit. and if you believe that your god is all seeing, then he may see that if he made it possible for you to drive a brand new sports car that you would get in a wreck and kill 3 children, he would not give you the sports car because it would cause you too much anguish.

so if he is your father, talk to him like your father. not only can see everything that goes on or will go on but he can tell if you are trying to be dishonest with him. if you need something to help him build his house, he will supply the bricks but you have to do the work.

can you imagine going up to your father, opening up a novel, and reading him a passage as a way to get him to buy you something? or acting like bart simpson, will you buy it for me now? will you buy it for me now? will you buy it for me now?"

god hears all prayers. jesus even laid the groundwork for how we should pray to the diety of our choice. he said pray in this fashion,

Our father, (your father, my father)

which art in heaven, (where is heaven? whereever god is that is heaven)

hallowed be thy name, ( you are so magnificent thy name is glory),

thy kingdom come ( we sure will be happy when all the evil is done away with on this earth),

thy will be done ( not everything my heart desires, but whatever pleases you)

on earth as it is in heaven ( give us strength, to do the right thing while we are in this flesh body)

give us this day our daily bread ( if we cannot afford to buy something to eat today, give us the understanding that we may eat from your bountiful earth or be able to find a way to work so that we may eat tomorrow)

and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us ( if someone sincerely comes to us and apologizes help us to accept that apology as we know that you will accept our apology when we err against you)

and lead us not into temptation (walking on this earth and experiencing your glory help us not be drawn in to a pattern that is bad in your eyes,

but deliver us from evil ( we know that you have power over evil and when we lack the strenghth to overcome evil on our own help us with inspiration)

for thine is the kingdom (the king and his dominion)

and the power ( you have the ability to do what you wish on this earth god)

and the glory (being with you is and will be 1000 times 1000 times 1000 better than anything we might experience on this earth)

forever (from the time that you created all things though this earth age and into eternity)

amen ( thats the way it is)

now if you follow the jewish god, or muslim god or whatever god you follow you should feel this way when you are talking with your god. if he is not worthy of all your love, its time for you to find another god.
