Its an addiction & it runs in families. if an alcoholic is waiting for a transplant he may feel he'll die anyway so why not drink

Something in there surroundings is causing them to do it. And they could mostlikely stop if they change to happier more comfortible surroundings. If so the liver can heal itself.

alchoholics are addicts, not rational thinkers wanting to live long and prosper. they can't keep from drinking without some kind of aid. most don't want any aid, they just want to drink.

The disease of addiction, if not treated, will make a person do insane things to themselves. It's a terrible disease, it will make you miserable and then kill you.

They are emotionally and physically addicted to booze. My advice, don't ever start. You don't know you'll be an addict till you are one, then it's for the rest of your life.
