In response to the first answer.............you have been reported
In response to the third answer... I do help my five children, and they have all done very well without the aid of a computer, but as any good parent knows variety makes things interesting and when a child is interested they learn more. Mabey you should find another way to amuse your mind, other than insulting a mother who is aiming to help her child.

I believe spelling abilities are like a gift .......... can you sing or not ? I taught elem school for 20 years, and it is if you have good visual memory or not. It has absolutely no corelation to IQ. I do know the special ed teachers have very clever ways to be encouraging and help kids learn to spell. they get credit for every letter they get in the right place. You might check with one. Just remember, it is sort of a born skill. It must be worked on, but comes so naturally to some for no reason,

What ever happened to cracking open a book? He doesn't need the internet he needs spelling practice...sit down and work with him...it's YOUR job as a parent, not the computer's job.
