I want to purchase refregarator for me. I come to know that green house gases(CFC) used in refregarartrs. I want to purchse good quality refregarator. I saw one model of Electrolux Refregarator but I don't know about it quality. Please suggest me name of brands which not contains green house gases(CFC)

Since the mid-1990s, chlorofluorocarbon refrigerants (such as CFC-12, brand name freon) have been banned. Many refrigerators and car ACs now use hydrofluorocarbons like HFC-134a, although ammonia may also be used as the refrigerant (see ref 2). Greenpeace has created the "Greenfreeze" program to bring non-HFC fridges to market (ref 3). Panasonic is now manufacturing HFC-free fridges.

To my knowledge there is no refrigerator made that does not use one CFC or another. I believe that two of the lighter freons were banned, but the heavier ones are still used. Without the CFC's we would have to use deadlier gasses for refrigeration, or give it up. Ammonia is used in many industrial refrigeration systems, but is considered unsuitable for home use.

I would e interested in learning where all CFC's are banned, and what refrigerant is used in place of them.

Gas is used for the following, Gas Stove Water Heater (Boiler) Used for hot water for your bath etc and for your heating system in your house. Thats pretty much it unless, you have other appliances that require the use of Gas. Hope this helps.
