I'd say an actor who reads his bible. He'd win California, and might fare well enough in the Northeast to pull it out.

What does this say about the discourse in America? Well, it says American citizens are not as informed as they once were, and no one cares enough to vote, let alone to research what or who they are voting for. Celebrity status is more important than political status. (See Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Hillary's name will get her the dem ticket, but Obama has a head on his shoulders)

The actor, because the religious in this country have so managed to convince people not to trust atheists or anyone not claiming unending faith in God. It's really pretty sad, because instead of statesmen we get dry-alcoholic deadheads like W. But he's born-again, so it's alright. His approval rating is hovering at 30% but that's just the work of Satan.

I keep hoping for the day when religion has lost its last ounce of credibility (it's losing more every day), and is no longer any part of the measure by which we judge a potential leader. Unfortunately, I probably won't live to see that day.

The actor. It says we are still in the dark ages. We just made some serious progress. Hey at least we are not Iran or Saudi Arabia. We dont kill gays just try to push Jesus on them.

neither .. the mass public is very stupid and leans on the crutch of religion ... but boobs like our current leaders and esp. those disgraced (like foley and the high catholic preists) are opening the eyes of more & more folks ... even stupid religious lemmings in that science and knowing might beat the easter bunny fanciers ...

so ... for now, it will be another GOP candidate ( and whispers of miscounted votes ) but one that does not, like all preists, get caught humping young boys in the bunghole
