CNN reported that 97%of people polled believe in God.
3% did not believe in god(atheist)
Complicated Question is: Why do Christians use this as an argument as, of course, there are many gods....some believe in mono gods, some have many gods.......these people will all say they believe in god! Are you saying that all religions will come together for the sake of ridiculing atheists? Wow, humanity has a long way to go until enlightenment.

I don't use this as an argument. I didn't even know this actually. I always thought that less people believed in God than most. Interesting. Christianity does not permit ridiculing anyone. I don't know about other religions.

I'm trying to understand your question. You are saying that those who say they believe in God have an agenda against atheists? We are all entitled to believe what we choose to believe. If I believe in God and you don't, c'est la vie! I don't see that this is putting any ridicule upon those who choose not to believe. They are just statistically, in the minority as opposed to those who do. What's that got to do with anything? You are who you are for whatever reasons. So be it! And the various religions are too busy criticizing the others, never mind what the atheists are doing. Yes, humanity does have a long way to go to gain enlightenment. It's called tolerance and understanding for the choices and beliefs of others. I do not look down on atheists or any other religious doctrine, for that matter. We choose to believe based on who we are and our life experiences and the environments we grew up in. Some is conscious choice, the other is subconscious. We believe certain things without knowing sometimes, why. But it would be amazing to have humanity develop greater understanding of their fellow man and to see the end of the killing and strife all in the name of religion, believers or non-believers. It is all such a great loss that we would devote any efforts to kill another human being at all! May God help us all!

There are several leaps in logic here.
1) If 97% of the population is theistic, it is obvious that some will use this statistic to prove something. But compare the number of theists to the number of people who quote this statistic to prove a point, and I think you agree that it does not reflect the bahavior of theism in general. To say otherwise would be like blaming New York City for the Son of Sam muders.
2) Even if every Christian on earth advocated this argument, there is no rational reason why all of the religions on earth would come together in unity solely for the purpose of ridiculing atheism!
3) Does this statistic inherently ridicule atheism? If so, atheism is ridiculing itself, because facts are not ridicule. If not, then why would you see this as a possibility? I don't see a connection.

Why did CNN put those stats up there?

The only way someone will know Jesus is if they want to and let Him open their heart. No, no one, atheist or theist, should be ridiculed for their beliefs. They don't have the accept each others beliefs, but everyone should at least respect a person's right to believe what they will.

Are you claiming to be the enlightened? Never met a Christian more self-righteous and hypocritically judgmental than some of the Atheists on this site.

97% of the people realize there's something beyond mankind worth their notice.

There is a plan in the making for a One World Church. They had talked about it at the U.N. for several years. The organised Churches like this plan, but a lot of bible believing Christians are opposed to it, because it sets the stage for the Anti-Christ who will be under the influence of this church. Many believe that Islam will become the One World church. Who knows?

i'm afraid consequently i'm abode schooled. I definitely have fewer and extra true pals. i'm somewhat sorry, yet i will in basic terms furnish green advice. in the beginning, for each week or 2, attempt being a loner. in case you would be unable to stand speaking your self into ignoring all of them day, do you have ANY pals left? Make your self a good circle of pals who will in no way betray you. in case you have not have been given any previous, close pals left, then make new ones. Or attempt forgiving the gossipers and invite them to do some thing with you. they are going to be so greatly surprised (i'm hoping) that they are going to end gossiping approximately you and discover somebody else to p.c.. on.

Actually they will at one point come together in one world religion during the tribulation and then the Anti-Christ will say he is god. But it isn't for the purpose of ridiculing atheists. As a Christian, I know there is One God, not many gods.

Believing in God is different from fearing the Lord. Most of these people believe just to believe in something, just to think that we ain't out here alone. Very few realize the absolute truth. That God is watching each and every one.
