Your statement is false so the question you pose cannot be answered.
Many officers are dismissed (Fired) if what they have done warrants it.
Some are suspended or transferred but it really depends on what it is they have done.
Your statement that they are never dismissed is False. plain and simple.

Actually, from what I have seen, cops do get fired for committing offenses against the law. However, when you hear of an officer getting reassigned or suspended, it is because they have the same rights as the average citizen.
Just because an officer is accused of a crime, he is still "innocent until proven guilty". Departments try not to fire a person just because they were arrested for an offense, but rather transfer or suspend them until a full investigation is done or the charge is taken to court. Generally, if it goes to court and the officer is found guilty of the crime, they will then be fired.
Departments try not to fire them, because they know that sometimes people are arrested for some things in error or illegaly. If they fire the person because he can prove he is innocent, then they might have fired a good cop that really did nothing wrong.

Your question is not true, and has no merit....
But to answer officers are suspended with pay, because there is an ongoing investigation. This could be as small as a personal complaint to something serious. They are transferred to protect the department from either bad blood, distractions, or other reason, but the offense wasn't bad enough to get fired over. They are asked to resign or terminated based on integrity of the department. If found guilty of serious offenses, they are tried just like anyone else.
What you read/hear in the media is word of mouth and not credible. You don't really need to worry about what others are doing, worry about what you are doing.

Many are fired and suspended or transferred. Keep in mind, they have the same rights as anyone, and just as the criminals and dirtbags in the streets, cops can also settel to a lesser charge or if its an administration punishment, can transfer, or be suspended with or without pay. Another big difference, is that cops have unions and paid employment insurance benefits, for assistance from being fired, charged, suspended, or if a civil suit is filed against them from the general public..

There is more to it than that. They, like anyone else, have rights that are protected. Cops have been sent to jail depending on the offense. They have also been fired, or told to resign because of criminal acts they may have committed. So, they aren't just transferred or suspended.

It all happens because Police force is put under politicians. They will use excessive force or not at all depending upon views of existing Govt.. If police are made to report to impartial Professional Committee such behaviour could be eliminated

You are wrong, they have been fired and sent to jail for crimes commited, and also disciplined for serious infractions of departmental policy. I don't know what goes on with the police in your area.
