Hi Nancy

Here are some ideas to heal the issue

Cause
In adults, most nosebleeds occur due to trauma to in the form of blows to the nose. Other causes include blowing nose too forcefully; scratches from the fingernails; irritating crust formations due to colds, infections, or the flu; very dry atmospheric conditions; sudden changes in atmospheric pressure; and/or nutrient deficiencies (most commonly vitamin C and/or bioflavonoids). Reoccurring nose bleeds might be a sign of a disease condition, such as high blood pressure (hypertension), a tumor in the nose or sinuses, or an internal bleeding disorder.

Note: Blood thinners such as Coumadin or aspirin can cause nose bleed. If this happens, notify your doctor immediately.

Natural Cures

Aromatherapy: Lemon, lavender, cypress, and/or frankincense essential oils can be helpful.

Diet: Eat foods such as watercress, dark green leafy vegetables, kale, and alfalfa, all of which are rich sources of vitamin K, which is essential for blood clotting.

Herbs: Use a snuff made from finely ground comfrey root or oak bark.

Homeopathy: Useful homeopathic remedies including Hyoscyamus, Chamomilla, Rhus tox., Ipecac., Belladonna, and Hamamelis.

Nutritional Supplementation: Vitamin C with bioflavonoids, especially rutin, should be taken on a daily basis if you are prone to nose bleed.

Topical Treatment: Once bleeding has stopped, squeeze the contents of vitamin E and vitamin A capsules into the lining of your nose to promote healing and prevent dryness. As an alternative, you can also use zinc oxide, aloe vera gel, or calendula ointment, and then place a small gauze piece against the gel.

Best of health to you

hi there Nosebleeds are most often attributable to dry air and picking the nose.

Other common causes include injury, some medical conditions, and certain drugs.

If your nose starts to bleed, the American Academy of Family Physicians recommends that you sit down while leaning forward slightly. Do not tilt your head back, as this may cause blood to run down your throat.

Using your thumb and index finger, pinch the tissue between the tip and the end of the bony part of your nose for at least five minutes.

Avoid blowing your nose and bending over to prevent the bleeding from recurring. If you can't stop the bleeding after 15 minutes, the AAFP recommends that you see your doctor.

Perhaps you have a weak blood vessel in your nose. You really seriously need to talk to the doctor about this because there are some procedures that can be done about this condition!

Also, it could be allerigies! Alleriges can make your nose bleed and your eyes get all red and bloodshot, and headaches!

Also, it could be because you are putting your finger up in it while you are sleeping and you don't even realize it.

There are many different reasons, but a doctor needs to look up into your nose with his little light-scope and see what's going on in there and find out the problem!

Take Care

if it is winter and the heat is on you need sometime too get moisture back in the air dry air drys out your linings very fast that leaves too the nose bleeding when you try too stop it don't put your head back this leads too more blood going too your stomach and you will wind up getting sick push the ridge together and don't blow if it takes more then 5 minutes too stop then you should get checked out and use saltine too spray in your nose often it is harmless and will help keep it moist

This could have to do with a lot of reasons. Your blood pressure could be a concern. You should also have your blood tested to make sure it is clotting as well. Sometimes people have to have the vessels in their noses carterized.

Nose bleeds can be a sign of a severe lack of iron otherwise known as anaemia, and can also be a sign of stress and overheating your body. I would see your doctor.
