The most outstanding mark of the true religion is that they have real love among themselves. (John 13:34, 35) They are not taught to think that they are better than people of other races or skin color. Neither are they taught to hate people from other countries. (Acts 10:34, 35) So they do not share in wars. They treat one another as brothers and sisters.—1 John 4:20, 21.
Another mark of true religion is that its members have a deep respect for the Bible. They accept it as the Word of God and believe what it says. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17) They treat God’s Word as being more important than human ideas or customs. (Matthew 15:1-3, 7-9) They try to live by the Bible in their everyday life. So they do not preach one thing and then practice another.—Titus 1:15, 16.
The true religion must also honor God’s name. (Matthew 6:9)
They must preach about God’s Kingdom. Jesus did so. He always talked about the Kingdom. (Luke 8:1) He commanded his disciples to preach this same message in all the earth. (Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20) True Christians believe that only God’s Kingdom will bring true peace and security to this earth.—Psalm 146:3-5.
Jesus’ disciples must be no part of this wicked world. (John 17:16) They do not get involved in the world’s political affairs and social controversies. They avoid the harmful conduct, practices, and attitudes that are common in the world. (James 1:27; 4:4)
What ever religion you find that matches these descriptions that are set out in the Bible itself, that would be the best choice to go with.
Also, you might want to consider what the Bible says about the future of mankind. We find at Psalms 37:10,11,29 that God's righteous people and meek people will be inheriting the Earth. Not going to heaven. There is a good chance that your perfect, eternal, happy life will be carried out here on Earth under God's Kingdom. So learn all you can. (John 17:3) (Revelation 21:3,4)

You should only belong to the religion that teaches the truth from the Bible, but as for going to heaen you might just like to read a few scriptures I will list below and that could help also:(Matthew5:5)(Psalm37:10,11,29)The Bible does not say that God made this Earth for us to use just for a limited time then throw it away andf go to a new place the reason he made it is in Isaiah45:18).

The answer which I like to write now is not just answering this question....
In each and every religion, there is a way to go to heaven and cleared mentioned in the respective religion...
But, in Hinduism.....there is an answer beyond this.....Even people who went to Heaven will have experience sorrow, happiness and all the things which a normal being will experience...
Accorinding to the Hinduism, there is a state which is beyond all these things which is called as "Moksham".....i.e., a normal soul will get into a soul which will not experience any sorrowness, happiness and other things...which leads to the a greatest feeling that a sould can experience.....that is the experience which is not possible to mention and it is a state which everyone have to experience by meditation........
Hinduism is not a religion which is created by a normal human beings....It is created by Lord Brahma and he himself created Vedas....which will give details about everything regarding to the God...
Vedas, is everything which it consists of the ways of
a)karma yoga
b)bhakthi yoga
c)gnana yoga
d)raja yoga
we can follow any of these things to get "moksha".....

Its not even about heaven or hell or what religion. What it is about is you staying close to God, believing in him and praying to him on the daily. Becuz he is the only way. I know this becuz he is my only tru love right now. I choose him over anyone or anything. He has helped me so much I cannot even repay him. Without him I would be lost, depressed & sinning hurting myself and others. But instead I am stress free. Feeling God's Love and feel so good. Just saying Jesus name is like a hit of extacy. Jesus praise the lord. I tell the truth. When u die. Who cares where u go... Its up to you if u want to go to hell or heaven. And its up to you to believe there is a God or not. It is up to you to want to feel that Love that God can give you. It is completely up to you. It all takes a little time to wins God trust. So don't expect over night mirracules. Just keep talking to him and let him know you really want him close to you and show him you are serious by putting an end to your sins. Let him trust in you. & you trust in him. When you feel his love. And the comfort when you pray to him. YOu are touched. God love is growing.

If God is fair(which I believe)it's very logic that God isn't interested in your theological views but interested in the person's heart and his actions. We should guide people and be an example and not only we can go to Heaven but we can build one right here if we make a self development in our own qualities and help others to achieve this too.

The Right to Enter Paradise
Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

You are the only one who can keep yourself out of Heaven by not doing the things you should. Keep the commandments. Love God and love your fellow man. All what you need to do to get to Heaven is follow the Teachings of a living Prophet. Google Gordon B. Hinckley. He knows what to do. Keep one eye on him and you won't go wrong.

"For the scheme of the mysteries of the Church and the Catholic faith is such that one who denies one portion of the Sacred Mystery cannot confess the other. For all parts of it are so bound up and united together that one cannot stand without the other and if a man denies one point out of the whole number, it is of no use for him to believe all the others." St. John Cassian ("On The Incarnation," early 5th century A.D.)
"The Catholic Church is the work of Divine Providence, achieved through the prophecies of the prophets, through the Incarnation and the teaching of Christ, through the journeys of the Apostles, through the suffering, the crosses, the blood and the death of the martyrs, through the admirable lives of the saints. When, then, we see so much help on God's part, so much progress and so much fruit, shall we hesitate to bury ourselves in the bosom of that Church? For starting from the Apostolic Chair down through successions of bishops, even unto the open confession of all mankind, it has possessed the crown of teaching authority." - St. Augustine of Hippo ("The Advantage of Believing" 4th century A.D.)

A religion will not get you to Heaven. Sin is what separates people from God (Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.) so therefore to be reconciled to God something has to be done to get rid of sin. Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, came and took the punishment for our sin so we wouldn't have to. (2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.) He died on the cross shedding His blood to wash away that sin (the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.1 John 1:7b) and arose the 3rd day and now will reconcile us to God if we trust Him alone as our Saviour accepting that He did what He did for us. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The choice is yours.
