I was told today by a friend of mine who just came to town (its a very small town, 600 ppl) that a bunch of people here think Im stuck up. I work as a bouncer, but Im not huge or anything, I could still woop your butt. Im not good at talking to people I dont know, my mom was very protective so I got screwed into homeschooling. I dunno, I suck at talking to people, and in my line of work, its not always good to be well known. Anyways, Im the strong silent type, that and I almost always smoke a doob right after work, so Im pretty docile. Anyways, peace out.

Hello? 1st of all..you're a bouncer; right? Well; if you are doing your job right...I can assume your not on too many of these ppls
xmas card list(s). LOL..I also live in a small town(3 bars,2 convient stores, 2 small crappy grocery stores, and a Dollar General(discount store)where I work and being the only store within 30miles its a very busy store so I have constant contact w/ lots of ppl...so ppl who HATE me( because they are jealous and feel threatened by me)r actually polite to me now because they get to see how nice i am..but unfortunately they still feel threatened so I too dont have hardly any friends(only 1 true g/f...BUT she too told me that she didnt like me when we 1st met a few yrs ago cuz she said she felt threatened and assumed Id be a ***** because even though shes a pretty girl..I'm prettier--we had a good talk-that was about 6 mths ago...now she calls me her best friend). Also SMALL TOWNS are wonderful "bs" gossipers and because i've always had more guy friends so they
assume I'm a ho....I dont screw my guy friends(thats why we're"friends"..dont have to deal w/ jealousy or distrust)
I've been single 4 awhile & Most Importantly I'm into long-term
relationships AND I haven't met anyone that I "like"...so I do without.

I used to have the same problem, but instead of stuck-up, people thought that I was a "bully" and what not (they are kind of the same thing for a boy). You just need to have a friendlier intention whenever you talk to people and if you are a fighter (like me) don't always resort to violence (unless it's necessary, then whoop some a**).

being nicer to them would be a start if you're not already nice.
