I do not have a system recovery option on my start menu, or a system recovery cd, and would rather not use system restore. Please help!!! thanks

I dont know exactly what your trying to do. A system restore would only restore it to a previous time. However if a restore point was created after the original install you can go back to the original settings but you will most likely lose information. If your not concerned with that, then you can just drop that cd in the cd drive and follow the menu. It will format your hard drive, meaning you will lose everything saved. I dont know what system you have so I can't elaborate any further.

You need to watch for available Point to restor
and to create some by the time actual when you your computer is fine.
To have access to restore computer in windows XP Home
botton Start/programs/accesories/system tools/and system restore and fallow the steps

Man, you don't ask much, do you? With no way to recover, you should probably leave it alone. You can set the system to factory defaults in the bios without crashing. Good time to learn Linux?

start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore. that should do it. hope you fix your problem. good luck.
