Assuming that I was having a fairly large wedding, I would have a large veggie tray with a couple of different dips, a relish tray with olives, pickles, etc, cheese and cracker plate, fruit salad, chips or potato salad, macaroni salad, maybe a traditional green salad -- you want to have traditional items mixed with healthier items (someone is always dieting).
I would also offer a couple of different dipping sauces for your bbq, if you are not slathering it with something to begin with. Maybe some sides that you like, so that you can nibble on them while everyone eats the bbq -- you need to eat because fainting on your wedding day is the last you'd need. And depending on the size and number of people that you will have at your wedding, you can add or take away as necessary. Plus, a lot of this stuff is best homemade, so you can save some money.

chips and dip!
If you're having a BBQ, why not make it a potluck? You could supply enough food to feed everyone - the meats and a few sides - and whatever the guests bring would supplement what you've supplied. We've had potlucks for our family reunions and I love them. At least then everyone can bring something that they'd like to eat and there's more than enough food to go around.
You could say on your invitation that those who wish to do so may bring a dish to pass in lieu of a gift.

NAPKINS. Seriously. Unless you want greasy bbq fingerprints all over your wedding dress.
You can also serve potato salad and cole slaw

BBQ at a wedding just doesn't sound right. Everyone is dressed up and BBQ is messy. It's your wedding, have what you want to serve.

Potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw. You could have garden salad and/or fruit salad.
Try to incorporate something you like-you really should eat on your wedding day. You're going to need it.
Congratulations
