I believe I heard of a restuarant where you can eat and enjoy the view of the NYC skyline or the bridge after dark, something to that nature. If you know of it, where is it, what kind of food is served and what is the price range?

"The View" restaurant at The Marquis Marriott is on the 47th floor and rotates. It's very expensive - the tasting menu is $95 and the prix fixe menu is $65. The view is spectacular - the food isn't.
There is a lounge with expensive drinks and a buffet. If what you really want is the view, eat or have a drink in the Lounge (it's still overpriced, but you'll spend much less). Read what other people think of this restaurant:

For great food with a spectacular view of the New York skyline, eat at the River Cafe in Brooklyn. Every seat in this restaurant has a view of Manhattan and the food is excellent.

Foley's Fish House on Broadway and 48th Street has a wonderful view of Times Square. The food prices are more reasonable.

For me, there's only one restaurant that's worth mentioning. "The Rainbow Room" is the most beautiful restaurant with a full view of the New York skyline. The cuisine is excellent because they got a new chef about a year or two ago.

They're located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza on the 65th floor. (No, that's not a typo, they really are on the 65th floor.) For reservations, call 212-632-5100 from 10am to 10pm.

They offer dinner and dancing that's very fancy but lovely on select Friday and Saturday nights. The price for adults is $200, but that's only if you want to go for a night of dancing and dinner.

If you want a still expensive but less formal meal, go to "The Rainbow Grill" which also has a lovely view of the NYC skyline, and it's located at the same place.

on the L.I.E, going west, for a 2d, you will see that the enormous apple skyline with the ny State pavilion from the international's straightforward properly in the front of it. On a sparkling day, that is pleasing.
