A woman doctor with children may be a little more sympathetic to your situation. It is completely understandable that you don't want any more children. There is nothing wrong with that. Just in case, you could adopt a child when you're 30 or something if you change your mind. Just make sure that you let whoever you are speaking to know that you have thought this through and that it is not a rash decision but that it is a mature decision to make because you know the risks involved. But using a condom + other methods of birth control should keep you from getting pregnant.

It sounds like you are not using the right types of birth control if you are using birth control and still getting pregnant.

Maybe you should forget the pills and stuff that mess up your hormones (and have a risk of blood clots). And go for just regular ol' Trojans for the man to wear and a vaginal foam or sponge for you. Use double the protection and you won't get pregnant. If the condom breaks then the foam or sponge will take care of it!!

Start asking around..ask all the doctors in your town/city/state if they would consider doing a tubal ligation on an 18 yr old with two kids(who does not want anymore) and I bet you'll find one.

Let them know that you will sign ANYTHING, sign the legal documents stating that you will not hold them liable for not being able to have babies anymore (if you change your mind when you are 30 or something) lol.. Tell them clearly that you WILL sign anything, "Just get me the surgery!" and see what they say!

Good Luck, hunny!

I think a lot of doctors don't want to tie tubes on somone so young. Maybe you should combine multiple forms of birth control.

Maybe the pill combined with the rhytmn method or some foam
or condoms.

I know it is hard. But cut down on the sex.

getting your tubes tied is a procedure that musnt be though about lightly as if you ever did want kids again it can be hard to reverse.
consider this, what types of contraception you are using now. if they are not working then perhaps you should consider changing contraceptives. there are plenty of choices available for both you and your partner.
take a visit to your gp and talk to them about the situation.

I am not sure, but I have a suggestion, have you tried using condoms with spermicide and also have him pull out just incase some of those suckers seep out of the condom. I would use as many otc birth control methods as possible. Good luck.

I believe that you have to be at least 25 or have at least 3 children before they'll let you get "your tubes tied". Unless you have some medical reason.

Present your case to your obgyn and try to get h/er approval. At 18 you are an adult and you have two children so it may be possible to persuade an obgyn consult on the matter. Hope this helps.

I don't know about those kinds of things, but you could ask your doctor about an IUD. They help protect against pregnancy (only) and last a long time, without you having to remember to take pills, etc.

why don't you go on the needle, talk to your doc about it there are a few different ones you can get, I got the one for every 3 months and that works real well never fell pregnant. and there is also one you can get every 3 years as well which is meant to be great.
