Tell someone that you loved them, if you really didn't?

This is just a question to see what ppl think. I said I don't say what I don't mean, because I don't. I'm not asking because this is my situation, it's just a question.

No! Them three little words are very strong and shouldn't be used lightly! Don't ever say it just to make someone else happy, if you do you're only going to end up hurting them. It's not worth it!

Truthfully I was about to say NO WAY. But I remember in a couple of cases I was being sarcastic and used the word "love" recklessly.
For example, I was sort of in a little fight with one of my "enemies" and when we got a little settled down she was like, "You know that I don't like you?" And I replied rolling my eyes, "Oh that's so shocking, I'm so hurt. Because did you know that I love you?" I smirked, hid a laugh, and then walked away... LOL
Also on another case, this guy accused me of REALLY liking him in FRONT of his friends. I didn't like him, only as a friend. So I replied sarcastically being REALLY dramatic, "Yes I absolutely LOVE you, NO I ADORE you!"
I looked at his friends with FAKE eager eyes, "Do you have a pen and a piece of paper, I REALLY would like this guy's autograph" I tilted my head signaling the guy. LOL.
So basically it's a yes and no to the answer. YES because I NEVER said I REALLY (in the real way) LOVE you to anyone I don't mean and truly feel REAL LOVE towards to. And I don't plan on saying that in the REAL way to someone in the future. Because it could really heard and damage them mentally if I told them this untruthfully, or later on in the future. And NO because I did use the word "love" recklessly to some people as a little joke. I know it's bad too, but LOL... Makes the situation lighten up, and a little funnier.

To help you do this just think of the outcome of this, because in the end it's sort of like a lie. Being truthful can hurt, but if you lie it can SOMETIMES hurt SO MUCH MORE. NO, because in the end it will only hurt both of you tremendously.
If you love him as a friend, let him know that's all it is.
If you love him as a significant other, then I would clarify that with him too.
My question...why would you say you love him if you said
"I dont' say what I don't mean!"
That's a little confusing to me.
Maybe you should both say what you mean, then there won't be any communication confusion.

No, escpecially because you don't say what you don't mean! You don't want to lead him on thinking that your serious about him when you aren't. Trust me I made that mistake and it took a couple years to recover and for us to become friends again! I don't suggest going down that alley like I did! If you don't love him, maybe you should try and just move on! You are trying to find the love of your life not the like of your life. Remember you will have many likes, but most likely you will only have one love! Good luck and God bless you!

I only tell people I love them when I mean it. That includes friends as well as romantic love.

why lie then make them happy for that moment but hurt them deeper when they know u cheated on them
