No, it is NOT too late ... and you can go to court if she is UNWILLING to cooperate and bring the child in for the DNA test (for a court order forcing her to report with the child for testing). That result can either prove you are the father or CLEAR you as the father (and if it clears you, then you can petition to have your name REMOVED from the child's birth certificate).

It's never too late for a paternity test. Have a blood test first. It's way cheaper than DNA and can conclusively establish that you are NOT the father; it cannot, however, conclusively establish that you are, so if it is inconclusive, you will have to pay for a DNA test. If you do not do this, the woman can legally seek child support from you.

I don't think it's ever too late. Take a DNA test and that should clear everything up.

A paternity test can be done anytime but if the mother does not agree you will have to see a lawyer about getting a court order.

I KNOW SOMEONE THAT DID THAT AND THEY WERE NOT TOGETHER ABOUT A MONTH AFTER. SO SHE GOES AN SIGNED UP ON FOOD STAMPS AND WAS GETTING MONEY FROM THE STATE AND HE JUST GOT A LETTER (AFTER ALMOST 2 YEARS ) AFTER SHE WAS GETTING THE MONEY AND THE STATE SENT HIM A LETTER TOOK HIM TO COURT ITS STILL GOING ON SO I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING ON YET, HE DID SAY HE WANTED A DNA TO PROVE THAT WASN'T HIS CHILD, THAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT THURSDAY.I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK HUN.

no its not to late for a paternity test, how ever if you signed the birth recored its going to be a little agrivating, to get out of child support, but it can be done.
