I just started taking it less than a month ago. It made me feel a little drowsy during the day and i just felt odd. What are some side effects you may know of that you or someone else has experience with the drug? Personal reflections are prefereable.

It didn't work for my son. Any ADD drug is suppose to calm you so feeling drowsy seems it may be working. Have you noticed you can concentrate easier? That is the best way you can tell if it is working. Try doing some sort of paper-work with the drug and without it, it's the best I can tell you. The side effects should be listed on the printout from the pharmacy or in the package of the medicine. I have two ADHD children and they both had to use a different medicine. If it isn't working try another type. My son could not learn to read until he got on ridelin. We have heard so many bad stories about these medicines, but if you are truly add or adhd they are important to help you. They can make a difference in being successful or not. Good luck.

I was on Strattera for almost a month. It's one of two drugs that are for ADD or ADHD and favored by the doctors because you're not on "speed" and they have less problems with writing the scripts. The Strattera worked in that I could concentrate, but the side effects were too much. There are web sites complaining about Stratera. I could not handle the increased dosage. Could not read, too dizzy to stand up, could not urinate when I got up, but would be unable to stop peeing when I'm on the way to work and a few more dysfunctions.

My son is on this medication for ADHD and it does seem to make him a tiny bit drowsy, however the doctor started him off on a low dosage and we moved it up twice in small increments and got to a level where it worked but didnt make him feel strange. I suggest if it seems to much for you to handle you should consult your doctor to see if maybe you need less but never change the way you are taking a medication unless you talk to the doctor first. Good luck.

My grandson takes strattera for autism. It made him terribly tired so Doctor said to take it before bedtime, it lasts all the next day, no more problems sleeping in school and he stays pretty much focused all day.
