The problem is not at all payment alone is a problem. The force of India for example - if a night beat constable completes his beat next morning without any problem, he has to reported again in the same afternoon by 1.00pm.If any Bundh or Harthal the law & order problem created by public, they has to continue their duty! no proper rest and diet! leave also is not sanctioned during the troublesome days! . In this I have a small sujuction that please give them 8 hrs.duty only and give them good salary and good perks.

Welcome to life. Happiness is a personal choice. It is not the rank
or profession. There are people in higher ranks that are unhappy, also there are non-army people that are unhappy. Consequently any other combination of rank and professions and happiness or lack thereof is possible. On a personal level army works on merit and if the low level "grunts" prove their mettle they will be promoted. Also Army grunts are trained for great hardship, with your attitude it seems like you will wilt under the first signs of engagement. The army will be better off without people like you even in its lowest ranks.

lower ranks in armed forces are not provided with good,nutritious food. as we know the army marches on it's stomach,then why only higher ranks are provided with better food comparatively ? Though it is shown in paper work, the quality of food is unbearable. most of the lower ranks are seen having their dinner outside.secondly, even during peace time short / long leaves are not given ON time, showing the superiority of ranks. sometimes the superiors are unable to plan the leave of their men,leading to stoppage of leave even when there is an urgent calls from home.third point is that the promotion system is lapsed, time promotion is delayed B'coz of slack system of authorities and even juniors are promoted on the fouls grounds. i think after jioning the forces they start to compare them self with their senior officials and comparsion of both is not justifiable because it is not possible that officer and solider may get same treatment as it is related with Discipilne which is very important to run every force .
