He's a happy little dingbat. Throw him into Afghanistan in his underwear with a straw mat for a month or two and lets see if he's still holier than thou.

Well there is nothing wrong with a safe mixture of psychology and Scripture. Scripture must inform psychology and not visa versa. I believe both are from God.
Joel I personally believe leans on the side of just preaching what people want to hear. He is known as the "smiling preacher." And he has said more than once he simply desires in his preaching for people to feel good after they hear his messages.
If Joel was preaching the Word 100% I am not sure if 100% of the time if people should be feeling good. The reality is that Scripture can uplift and encourage. However, there are some clear Scriptures that should lead people to repentance and a broken heart.
If you notice Joel is very light on Scriptural references. Sometimes he will only mention or highlight a single verse in which his entire message is then drawn from. I personally believe that Joel Olsteen leans too heavily on the psychology side of preaching.
I do think Joel Olsteen has many times presented true doctrine. Yet as an overall grade to the biblical faithfulness of his preaching life thus far, I do not think he as remained true for the above reasons.

He preaches the same thing week after week. Too feel good for me. No Christian will ever learn the things they need to know from his preaching. That's one of the reasons there are so many people who claimed they were Christian, but now are not. They never were Christian, but instead believed God was some kind of magic genie, at their beck and call. They blame God at the first sign of trouble. It doesn't work that way. Yes, God wants the very best for His children, that is true. The problem is it's in His time and way, by His will, not ours.
It took me 3 of his sermons to realized he just tells people what they want to hear. Obviously his arena is full every week, why? He tells them what you want to hear and doesn't dare go into the nitty gritty of the word. Christian's need the entire word preached to them, not one very minuscule aspect.
I say listen to Osteen if you need a lift. If you need to know that God loves you and is with you always. If you need reassured that God wants you to succeed in all areas of your life. This is all true, but each Christian should be strengthening themself in the word in order to go out and spread the truth.

maximum preachers will carry forth in spite of they experience God has laid on their hearts. i have under no circumstances pronounced Joel Osteen to usually in common words instruct repentance, although that is a sturdy ingredient both way. Repentance is a significant part of Christianity. that is determining our sins and turning from them with the attempt to under no circumstances again revisit them. I pray that repentance is going on in each and every Bible-depending church the international over, as well as Joel Osteens. He has allowed himself to be a superb vessel of God's note! yet enable us stay reminded that it isn't Joel Osteen whom is replacing hearts, that is in common words through the Holy Spirit that human beings will be moved and altered and extremely repent. Glory to God!

I don't listen enough to tell you. But i have a hard time looking at anybody that dresses and puts makeup on like that and then preaches. Come on Jesus walked the walk and talked the talk. He wore his tunic and told his disciples to only take what they wore. Am i right? He was and is Genuine, He spoke the truth no mater what the cost. He could have called Angels to protect him put he ran instead often. Jesus spoke against the yeast of the leaders of the church at that time. That is one of the reasons i no he's truth.

I pray that he is genuine but as the Bible says the pastor is not to preach just to tickle the ear but he is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ

I'm not religious, but I like him and if other people find peace listening to him that's great. I think he preaches a little of both.

Joel is definitely charismatic and he seems sincere. I like to listen, but I don't think he has the full truth.

He is an apostate, money grubbing, pseudo-christian, whore. His utter disdain for the cross of Christ is very evident in that he never mentions it. He never talks of repentance, or the terrible reality that is sin. It's all about what is God going to do for me. A new car, a big house, all the money you could possibly want. He makes me sick.
