For 25 cents at the general store you could get a little coke bottle from the pull out machine and a nickle candy bar like Snickers and a big Bub's Daddy long rope of bubble gum ????

Where I grew up, we could get into the movies for 50 cents, spend a quarter on popcorn, 15 cents for a soda and 10 cents for a candy bar, those were the days. We used to go to the store and buy penny candy! A bunch of us would get our money together and buy candy, my favorite was CHUM GUM, I still remember what it tastes like!

My Dad says things like this. He used to go to the store and get a small paper bag of candies for a nickle. I do remember going to the store and being able to get a couple kinds of candies/gum and a can of pop for $1

yea - money was BIG those days. I remember I could have lunch for 30 cents in school, 5 cents for 4 pieces candy, 5 cents for a 10 min. bus ride to school. Today, this is what people call "inflation".

I can only remember when a pop bottle cost 35 cents. For a quarter, that's cheap compared to today's standard.

Now I am not that old :) I remember when I could get a ton of candy for a buck that I earned doing lots of yard work and house chores. Man, by parents paid me $.35 to clean the bathroom (toilet, tub, sink, floors, mirrors, countertops, etc.). I hated that so much. I wish prices today could be that low. I could buy so much candy now!!! ;)

Yes, OMG I watched that, it was before the Mickey Mouse Club back in the day. I thought I was the only one who actually watched that show. Fergie was on that show long ago. I also think that Scott Wolf, Jennifer Love Hewitt were on it too. I think. Wow, that so long ago.
